Depois de fotografias privadas da atriz que dá vida a Sam terem sido tornadas públicas, começaram a surgir rumores de que o Nickelodeon podia cancelar a série.
Os rumores começaram depois de o canal ter mandado parar as gravações da série.
Contudo o canal já veio desmentir em comunicado os boatos.
“Nós estamos a terminar o que foi um ciclo de produção invulgarmente longo de ‘Sam & Cat’ e toda a gente está compreensivelmente cansada”, disse o canal juvenil em comunicado.
Já o site TMZ diz que Jennette McCurdy não está satisfeita com o Nickelodeon porque recebe um salário bastante inferior ao de Ariana.
O TMZ avança mesmo que a atriz está a tentar negociar o contrato mas as coisas não lhe estão a correr muito bem.
